Transition Horsham Seedy Saturday and new District Seed Circle
Come and join us on March 6th 2021 for Transition Horsham’s first online Seedy Saturday and the launch of the new Horsham District Seed Circle!
At Seedy Saturday, experienced and novice growers usually swap locally saved seed - and experiences of growing vegetables, fruit and flowers. We can’t swap seed at this online meeting but we can share experiences.
And in 2021, with the Seed Circle, the opportunities to swap experiences and ‘grow together’ will continue throughout the year.
We will explain at the meeting – but, basically, our Seed Circle is a group of people who each grow one crop, harvest it and save seed for our 2022 seed swap. We will support members at key stages of the growing calendar – mainly online but with some opportunities to meet up in person.
We hope that you will want to join the Seed Circle. You will be able to sign up after the meeting.
Here’s the link to sign up – for either the 11am or the 12noon meeting.
If both sessions are full, email us on team@kinderliving.co.uk and we will open up another meeting and send you the link.
And we have some seed to offer! We have a small supply of local and heritage seed, some donated by Garden Organic, for people within Horsham District (UK) who would like to join the Seed Circle. At the meeting you can see what seed is available and get some hints and tips on growing it. You can then request some, if you wish, when you sign up.
Details will follow soon of events hosted by Friends of Horsham Park and other Seedy Saturday partners.
For the past two years, Seedy Saturday has been part of the Kinder Living Home Show. We are grateful to Kinder Living for hosting us this year as part of online Kinder Spring. There will be all kinds of activities and information in Kinder Spring so do check out the Event Discussion if you’re on Facebook.
**Please note - these bookable Transition Horsham Seedy Saturday Zoom sessions are intended mainly for Horsham District residents as we will not be able to send seed elsewhere. There will, however, be other gardening and grow your own advice available throughout Kinder Spring, to which everyone is welcome.**
