There's going to be a Volunteer's workshop on 14th April from 7.30 pm at the Park Barn, North Street.
Agenda as follows:
Quote:
At this meeting we will be able to give you a full progress report on our findings so far, and invite any questions you may have.

We will then ask you to help work on prioritizing the top issues that have come out of the consultations. We'll divide up into groups to do this, and each group can then give feed back on this. We'll be able to give you a timetable at this meeting on our next steps, official launch and when and how projects are likely to be undertaken and managed.

We greatly look forward to welcoming you to this meeting and thank you for your time and support in helping to get this very worthwhile Partnership off the ground. This is a great opportunity to achieve projects in Horsham that residents would like to seen accomplished.

Clare,

I meant to volunteer last year, after that survey session in East St, to contribute to the Horsham Town Community Partnership, but never got round to it. Is this meeting open to anyone, known volunteers and volunteers-to-be? Has anything happened already that I have missed?

Hi Mark,

I did sign up so it was addressed to me as a volunteer and don't know whether they'll be advertising it separately as an open meeting. I'd say definitely come along though - they're going to welcome all the volunteers they can get. You can always email Jane to let her know - I'll forward you the full email I received later but unfortunately I'm not on my computer at the mo. You haven't missed much apart from a couple of vague emails, we should find out where they've got to at this workshop. I know Clare K sent back a rather frustrated reply about the lack of transparency to an earlier email but not sure whether she got a response.

Saw in the WSCT that there's a 'Horsham District Community Partnership Conference' on Monday April 4th from 4.30-8.30 pm, open to participating group members but also interested inviduals. It's looking at the challenges and opportunities ahead and taking a

Hopeless timing for anyone like me with school-age children but if anyone fancies going contact julian.carrington[AT]horsham.gov.uk. It would be interesting to hear a report of what was discussed.

I too am concerned that there seems to be little transparency in how this group operates, but this may simply be the appearance of non-transparency....(!?)
